At GOODE, we now offer two new binding systems for skiers who do not want to use Hard-Shell boots, yet want to take performance to the next level. We have done away with the “old fashion” binding system that needs to be screwed into the ski. We now offer four models of binding systems. The PowerShell™ System, PowerPlate™ Rubber Boot System, Universal PowerPlate™ System and the traditional Performance Series High Wrap Bindings.
GOODE PowerPlate™ Rubber Boot System
We have taken the GOODE Performance Series High Wrap (Wiley Style), which is used by many tournament water skiers, removed the aluminum plates, and attached the boots directly to a CARBON Fiber plate. This new system is not only lighter weight than most systems currently on the market, but using the Power Plate™ Rubber Boot System allows a ski to free flex. It does not create flat spots in a ski as does traditional screwed on bindings - an important element in skiing.
The application is simple. The PowerPlate™ is designed not to release from the ski. A skier will simply continue to release from their boot system as they were originally designed.
WHY USE A GOODE PowerPlate™ System
One key benefit of the PowerPlate™ is that it allows a skier to make Micro Adjustments to his/her binding placement. Often, 1/6th of an inch in binding placement can make a big difference in performance. With old traditional bindings that are screwed on, drilling and screws prohibit you from drilling within 1/4” of another hole!
The CARBON Fiber plate is a Free Flexing plate moving with the ski, not against it allowing a natural flex as you round that next buoy.
The GOODE PowerPlate™ System is easily upgradeable to the GOODE PowerShell™ System. Inter-Loc™ will already be installed on the ski for an easy transition. When you are ready, the GOODE PowerShell™ System will take your skiing to the next level. The GOODE PowerShell™ System is currently being used by the top 7 of 10 skiers in the world!
The GOODE PowerPlate™ Rubber Boot System can be custom sized using the rubber overlays.
