Nano 1 and Nano 1XT: What’s the Difference?
Both skis employ the same shape, construction material, exacting manufacturing process, and new sidewall design, but there is one key difference between them: the rocker profile.
The Nano 1 has a traditional rocker, meaning the ski’s rise from flat part of the ski to the tip begins at the same spot on both the on- and off-sides of the ski. The Nano 1 has a higher rocker quotient than the Nano 1XT, which many skiers find turns slightly better.
The Nano 1XT features the groundbreaking AsymRocker™, an asymmetrical rocker that begins at different points of the ski; earlier on the off-side, later on the on-side. Many skiers like the earlier rocker rise on their off-side because it allows the ski to finish the turn a bit better before engaging the fore body of the ski. The AsymRocker also allows the Nano 1XT to be slightly flatter than the Nano 1, which increases side-to-side speed, without sacrificing turning capabilities.

The bevels on the Nano 1 and Nano 1 XT feature a sharper bottom edge, which allows the ski to track better up course, while drastically reducing down-course slipping that makes skiers late and narrow. WHAT MAKES A GOODE SO GOOD?
There are a couple things so different with a Goode than with every other ski company.All of the other companies have tried to build a ski better than a Goode.They’ve copied the shape, the edges, the texture, the flex, the thickness and on and on but the one thing they have not copied is the PROCESS.Goode is the only major ski company that uses PRE-PREG carbon.PRE-PREG means the fibers that the core is wrapped with (nowadays these fibers are carbon) are pre-impregnated with catalyzed epoxy (epoxy that has the hardener already mixed in). This creates a 60/40 ratio of 60% fiber and 40% resin.This is very close to an ideal ratio.If the percentage of resin increases, strength decreases and brittleness increases, both are detrimental to high performance.Being that the carbon fiber is impregnated with a catalyzed epoxy, it must be stored in a freezer to prevent it from hardening. Once a Goode is in the mold, it stays there for roughly three hours (180 minutes) at a very high temperature.This creates a very hard, cured epoxy matrix.The harder the material, the higher the frequency the material performs at and the faster the ski responds and returns to its original shape.An additional benefit of this long mold time is the material is totally cured when it is removed from the mold.This means the ski will not change shape once it’s out of the mold.All of the other major ski companies use a lower temperature cure along with a ten-minute molding time (estimate).This lower temperature cure creates a softer matrix and thus a slower response/recovery time.Another disadvantage of this ten minute, lower temperature curing time is that the ski is what is referred to in the industry as “green”.How the ski is supported after it comes out of the mold after this ten minute molding time is very critical.A “green” ski can and will distort as it finishes cooling and curing unless it is properly supported which is not typically the case.All of the other major ski companies can build eighteen skis in the time it takes Goode to build one yet they sell theirs for roughly the same price as a Goode!Where they can take in a potential $18,000.00 (18 x a $1,000.00 ski) per hour, Goode has the potential to take in anywhere from $1,290.00 to $1,490.00 during this same time period. These other ski companies have zero incentive to build a ski with Goode's process. In fact, they can't afford to! Instead, they all are trying to build a ski to compete with Goode (which holds all the WORLD RECORDS) but mass produce it at a far cheaper cost. If Goode were to price his skis according to this 18 to 1 formula, they would sell for $23,220.00 for the 9900 series and $26,820.00 for the Wide Ride!The reality of this is that a Goode is truly a bargain, everything else is not even in the same ballpark! We don’t just send "Demo Skis". Our innovative products and Demo program must be working, because very few skis are ever returned. Here is how GOODE’s two-week demo offer works:

If you order by telephone, a customer service representative will take your "Skier Profile". If you’re interested in trying a ski - the model, length and flex will be recommended for you. Skiers interested in the PowerShell Hard Shell Binding are sized and given an overview of the systems operation. The Demo Fee for each item is listed below. If you keep the products, the demo fee is applied towards your purchase.
Before the order can be filled, you will be asked to give a credit card account number with expiration date. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. The item(s) requested for evaluation or demonstration will be charged to your credit card along with the appropriate shipping and handling costs (if applicable). The transaction is treated as a purchase.
Your order is processed, a new ski and/or PowerShell is made for you and shipped to you.
From the time you receive your order, you will have two (2) weeks to evaluate the product(s). We encourage you to contact GOODE with any questions or concerns during your Demo Period.
If you are not satisfied with the performance of the ski and /or PowerShell System we ask you to call GOODE'S Customer Service Department before returning the product. Many times their tech support staff can assist and rectify customer concerns. If it is necessary to return the product, GOODE's Customer Service Department will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RA#). To ensure your proper credit; all products must be returned with a RA#.
If you are satisfied with the product(s), keep it. It’s that simple. Your card was charged for the total amount including shipping/handling at the time the order was processed.
If you return product(s) with a RA#, you will receive a credit to your charge card for the amount of the product(s), minus the "DEMO FEE" for each product and the shipping/handling fee.
You are responsible to treat the product(s) as if they were your own during the Demo Period. Any loss, damage or excessive wear will be charged additionally.
